GIS, Hiran Kudna Achieves Magnificent Victory at Inter- Ganga Debate Competition
Impressive Investiture Ceremony at Ganga International School
Ganga International School, Hiran Kudna, felicitated the elite members of the Prefectorial Body in a spectacular investiture ceremony, inducting them into their posts. The Principal, Ms.Swati Joshi conferred the batches of honour to these distinguished students and presented them the sashes. In her speech she inspired them to dedicate themselves to the responsibilities of their posts, which will ensure success and glory in future. Prefectorial body presented an impressive march past, led by the Head Girl and the Head Boy proudly bearing the school flag. The freshly inducted Prefectorial Body 2023-24 enthusiastically assumed its office, all set to maintain the dignity of their posts.

Nanhe Chitrakaar
We celebrate every moment of our life with vibrant colours of nature. They are the source of joy and happiness for everyone. Keeping this in mind, Pre-Primary Department of Ganga International School organised Nanhe Chitrakaar (colouring competition) for LKG and UKG classes. The little artists participated in the competition with great zeal and enthusiasm and at the same time took great care to colour their masterpieces with their creativity. The students coloured beautifully in the picture given to them and exhibited their skills by filling colours in it. The fun they had is certainly going to add a new innings to their colourful childhood memories.

Self Introduction Competition
“It is important to know yourself before you know the world.”
A Self Introduction competition was conducted by the Primary Department.
Introducing oneself to the World is an art . The exposure of this kind boosts the confidence of children and helps them to be more social.The objective of the competition was to develop speaking skills in children.
This activity helped the students to enhance their vocabulary and oratory skills.

Pre-Primary Department of Ganga International School conducted ‘Red Rose’ activity on 17th April 2023 to introduce children into the mesmerizing realm of colours. The shades of red made our tiny tots feel bright, lively and cheerful.
‘Red’ colour symbolizes enthusiasm, life and vitality. The day started off with the colour red everywhere red dress, red rose, red teddy, red car, red apples, The tiny tots looked stunning in their red outfits. Various activities were planned with emphasis on significance of red colour. Our little ones spent a spectacular red day.
INTER HOUSE DOHA VAACHAN COMPETITION
‘Ethics is knowing the difference between what you have a right to do and what is right to do.’ A life without ethics is not worth living. To make students understand the importance of a virtuous life, Secondary Section of GIS organized an Inter House Doha Vaachan Competition. All the students participated with zeal and enthusiasm to express their love for the traditional roots. The event was really a learning experience and emphasized on imbibing ethics and values in behaviour. Participants were judged on the basis of content, voice modulation, pronunciation and overall presentation. The results are as follows :

BEST OUT OF WASTE COMPETITION
Little hands and imaginative minds came together in a creative burst of “Best out of waste Competition” held in the Primary Dept.
The competition aimed to make the students understand the importance of preserving the environment and moreover learn more about sustainability.
They used reusable and recyclable materials like news papers, shoe boxes, bangles, ice cream stick’s and much more. From these items, they created an amazing array of display items and useful everyday objects leaving everyone totally impressed.
The activity helped students understand the value of the need to reduce, reuse and recycle.
ORIGAMI ART COMPETITION
Ganga International School moulds its students talent to utmost height enhancing their creativity and imagination skills.To boost up their talent an Origami Art Competition was organised for Pre Primary children.
Origami is a Japanese art of folding paper into various shapes and figures. Paper folding helps students to learn about basic geometric shapes such as squares, rectangles and triangles. It also improves their eye hand coordination. The students participated actively and created various objects such as bird, dog, flower, boat, star etc. using origami art.The students were assessed on parameters like creativity, neatness, use of origami and overall presentation.The competition was a great success as students were full of zeal and enthusiasm.
Inter House Mathematics Quiz
was conducted for classes VI to VIII on Friday, December 9, 2022. Three students from each house participated with a lot of enthusiasm and showcased their potential and mental ability skills.The quiz comprised of four rounds.The main objective of the quiz was to encourage children to look beyond their textual knowledge and relieve the tension of their daily work routine. It enhanced the inquisitiveness of the students thereby building confidence, mental prowess, and learning at the same time.

It is the stories that give wings to our imagination and take us to places beyond the boundaries of our physical world and into the land of fairies, dragons and wishing trees. Storytelling has been an integral part of our childhood. To keep the tradition going and to incite curiosity and the love for reading in children, a storytelling competition was held on 21STJuly, 2022 for classes IV and V. The enthusiastic storytellers performed with their props came forth with a wonderful tale. The stories were judged on the basis of expressions, confidence and presentation skills of the children. The event was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience. The Results are as follow:

English Debate Competition ‘Let My Words Speak’ Held at GIS
‘The best way to predict your future is to create it.’ Youth of our nation must also learn to be independent. To make the young minds of GIS curious and to observe their views, Ganga International School organized an Inter House English Debate Competition on July 19,2022, on the topic ‘Earning while Learning must be encouraged Among Students’. All the participants gave their best to express their opinions for or against the motion. Respected Principal Ms. Swati Joshi appreciated and congratulated the participants for their efforts. PAPER BAG MAKING
“Summer Bonanza”
was organized for the students of Classes LKG and UKG on Friday May 20, 2022 where they were treated to Ice Creams in order to enjoy a cool treat on a hot summer day. The party was aimed at instilling in the students the spirit of sharing. It was a fun filled moment for the students as they all got to share ice cream with each other. This was also a means of acquainting the students with each other while having something every child finds difficult to resist. The students all went back home with sweet memories of the wonderful time they had in school that day. The party was a real energy booster for our Tiny Tots
Mother‘s Day
The students of Middle School expressed their feelings through an activity- *3D Card Making,* held on 2nd May 2022.
They thanked their Mom by making heartfelt cards.Moreover, Ayushi of class VIII expressed her gratitude by playing a musical tune for Mother’s Day Celebration.
A blend of exceptional creativity and imagination was displayed by the students.The competition aimed at promoting creativity and self- expression among students.

On the occasion of Earth Day, 3R’s Conservation Activity was organised on 22nd April 2022,in which the Students of Middle School enthusiastically to commemorate our benevolent Mother Earth 🌎.
The students turned trash into treasure and learnt the art of reusing, reducing and recycling ♻️.
The event instigated the youngsters to save, love and respect Mother Nature with all their heart and soul.
The students took an oath to save the Mother Earth 🌎 by using the resources judiciously.

RED RIDING HOOD
Colour “Red” symbolizes new beginning. It not only symbolizes spring or rebirth, it also symbolizes love, energy and life force.
To teach about the symbolism and importance of the colour “Red” to our Kindergarten children, Red Day was celebrated on 13th April, 2022, Wednesday. Students were asked to dress in red colour dresses. Students brought different red coloured things like apple, tomatoes, pomegranate, strawberry, caps etc. “Knowledge is of no value unless you put it into practice”, said Anton Chekhov. Our teachers at Ganga International School make sure the students put the gained knowledge into practice through various activities right from the beginning of their education.

Keeping this in mind and to explore the creative potential in the young minds of our children,Colouring and Poster Making competition were conducted on 12/05/22 for Primary children where the Little ones have always fantasized about colors.Coloring Competition, where in students brought in their colorful imaginations.

MAKE YOURSELF KNOWN COMPETITION
HELD ON 13 APRIL 2022
All the students Of Primary Department (Classes 1-3) took part in the competition. As the saying goes” It is important to know yourself before knowing the world”. Keeping this in mind a “MAKE YOURSELF KNOWN” competition was organized for the students to enhance their oratory skills.
Introducing oneself to the World is an art. The exposure of this kind boosts the confidence of children and helps them to be more social. Children were excited and felt more confident when they introduced themselves to their classmates. We endeavor to build a confident new generation of India. The oratory and presentation skills of tiny tots were outstanding.
BLUE BERRY DAY (BLUE COLOUR DAY)
BLUE is a cool and calming color that shows creativity and intelligence. Tiny – Tots of Ganga International School celebrated Blue Colour Day.
The dress code of the day was blue. All the children dressed up in different shades and hues of blue.
To make the activity more inclusive, children brought different objects like toys, decorative items, based on the theme. Deliberately planned in-class activities enabled the little ones not only to learn innovative games but also enhanced their logical and reasoning minds.
Blue Day was an amazing learning experience which had a long-lasting effect on every student.

POWERPOINT PRESENTATION COMPETITION
was organized by the Primary Department. Theme for the presentation was *VIRUS OMICRON.*The presentation included visual and audio cues,which helped a presenter to be more improvisational and interactive with the audience. It also encouraged self -learning amongst the students.

- Friendly Cricket Match between Heritage Club, South Africa and Ganga International School
November 26,2019: Ganga International School, Hiran Kudna, Delhi took a step ahead when the school lush green playground witnesseda friendly cricket match between The Heritage Club of South Africa and the school cricket team on Tuesday, 26th November 2019. The host school won the toss and chose to bowl first. It was really a mesmerizing experience to relish the sport with wonderstruck eyes. Tainko of the South African Club team made 43 runs to sow the seeds of troubles for the host team whereas Yashdeep of the school team played very well and took three wickets in 2.4 overs. The South African Heritage Club team played very well and set a huge target of 165 runs for 10 wickets in 24.5 overs. In second innings, the school team put on a good show. Rituraj of the school team ran for 19 runs and Gaurav Bhardwaj hit 24 runs. The students of the school took great delight while watching the match with unprecedented zeal and enthusiasm and cheered the team. But the host team couldn’t stand for long and collapsed completely after making 123 runs in 22.1 overs paving the way for the opposite team to win the match. Kehlim of the Heritage Club won “Man of the Match”. On this occasion the benevolent presence of the school principal, Ms Charu Kapoor, encouraged the players very much. The school principal congratulated the winner team and awarded with the trophy.
